The members of the Stonewall Rifle and Pistol Club feel that the education of our youth in the safe and proper use of firearms and good sportsmanship is very important. Since 2005 we have hosted a free event at our club at 2786 Hankey Mountain Hwy in Churchville to introduce young boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 to the compound bows, air rifles, .22 rifles and trap shooting with a shotgun.

We begin the day with a 30 minute safety discussion by a Department of Game and Inland Fishery certified instructor and provide each participant with eye and ear protection. They get a free t-shirt with all of our great sponsors listed on the back to wear to school or where ever they wish.

Then they go by groups to each station for 50 minutes of instruction and shooting activities. They have two stations before lunch and two after lunch. At noon we stop for an hour to enjoy a hot lunch and fellowship with new friends.

After the activities conclude we have drawings for prizes and a Grand Prize. For the past five years the Grand Prize has been a new compound bow donated by PARKER Compound Bows.

We would love to have you join us at our next youth day.
